Project Overview

This project is the first set of pre-grinding production line in the silicon stone hard material sand-making industry by SBM. The production line is designed by SBM and utilizes the LM series pre-grinding mill.

Silicon Stone Waste Project Situation

The client owns a silicon stone mine, primarily used in the polysilicon industry. The remaining silicon stone waste is processed through our pre-grinding production line to produce various specifications of finished products for applications in foundry furnace lining materials, paint coatings, and other fields.

SBM's pre-grinding technology successfully transforms ore waste into high-value-added products, achieving a remarkable turnaround for ore waste and providing strong support for the company's green and sustainable production.

After conducting preliminary market research and on-site inspections, the customer has chosen SBM's new LM-Y vertical pre-grinding roller mill, considering various factors, to establish a production line with an annual output of 100,000 tons of foundry furnace lining materials and paint materials.



LM-Y vertical pre-grinding roller mill is an advanced grinding equipment developed by SBM, based on the LM series vertical mill. It extensively incorporates advanced technologies from both domestic and international sources, combined with years of experience in the production of crushers and mills. It is an ideal device in the powder-making industry that integrates sand-making and grinding.

LM-Y vertical pre-grinding roller mill is a versatile machine that produces both sand and powder. Once silicon stone enters the equipment, it can be processed to meet customer requirements for particle sizes of 20-40 mesh, 40-70 mesh, 70-140 mesh, 140-200 mesh, as well as high-quality sand below 3mm.

Wide application and multifunctional
Integrating sand-making and grinding, it is suitable for the preparation of sand and powder from materials with a Mohs hardness of 7 or below, such as limestone, dolomite, calcite, quartz, silicon stone, marble, and coal gangue. It can simultaneously produce two products: sand and powder, such as producing 40-140 mesh sand and fine powder above 200 mesh at the same time.

Intelligent control with adjustable and controllable fineness
The entire production line can achieve intelligent control and coordinated production. The fineness of the finished products can be flexibly adjusted according to production needs, and the proportion of fine powder and fine sand in the products can be adjusted within a certain range to meet market demands.

High single-machine capacity with excellent product particle shape
The unique grinding curve, combined with the principle of layered crushing, results in low production energy consumption and high single-machine output. The finished sand has a good particle shape, with no sharp edges, leading to a high added value for the products.

Low operating costs and easy maintenance
The grinding components have a long service life because the grinding rollers do not directly contact the grinding plate during operation, resulting in minimal wear and extended lifespan. Additionally, the roller sleeves can be flipped for extended use, significantly reducing the cost of consumable parts. The grinding section can be easily and quickly accessed for maintenance and repair through a hydraulic device that allows it to be flipped out of the machine.



Easy operation and reliable performance
Equipped with a hydraulic system, the grinding pressure can be easily adjusted, making it suitable for materials of various hardness. It is also fitted with a limit device to prevent direct contact between the roller sleeves and the grinding plate lining, avoiding destructive impacts and severe vibrations.

Green and environmentally friendly
With low vibration and noise, the equipment is fully sealed, preventing dust leakage and ensuring a clean environment, thus meeting national environmental protection requirements.
